What is your role at Avison Young?
U.S. Director of Marketing.
How did you get into commercial real estate?
I fell into it. I was a theater artist, a graphic designer for non-profits, and an activist... so basically, I needed a paying job. I took a temp position at Insignia/ESG and had a great time designing proposals and pitch materials. Prepping a pitch is very similar to a stage production... 20+ years later, I'm still loving this gig.
Share an example of a time you delivered economic, social and environmental value to your clients, colleagues or community?
I consciously work to bring talented people together, to empower and inspire high performance and actions that make a positive impact in what we do. It's what I aspire to do every day in building our marketing team, pursuing new business opportunities, developing creative property marketing solutions, and promoting our brand purpose.
