What is your role at Avison Young?
Vice President - Project Management lead for Chicago Office.
How did you get into commercial real estate?
After many years in the role of Architect and General Contractor, Project Management was a natural evolution in my career. I feel both my design background coupled with my experience as a general contractor would be an asset to our clients.
Share an example of a time you delivered economic, social and environmental value to your clients, colleagues or community?
Our Chicago team has advised clients on decisions affecting their workplace. One of my accounts is LInkedIn. The AY Chicago PjM team consults as their third party project manager on buildouts that focused on a the ultimate workplace environment for the employees. Besides budget management and schedule control, we are involved with certification for LEED Gold and Fitwell Certification for LinkedIn spaces. This aligns with the AY brand which promotes a green environment locally and globally.

How has Avison Young supported you in bringing Brand Purpose to life in your work?
Avison Young has a client first approach. That is of upmost importance since, unlike large public CRE firms, we answer to one entity - our clients! Time and time again we tell clients not what they want to hear but need to hear. Clients do appreciate our advice and will come back to Avison Young over and over.....repeat business with a client will grow our firm. As for our staff, we all share the same values and goals which reflects in our services.
