Sam Werner is a Principal in Avison Young’s Washington, DC office where he provides tenant advisory services on a local and national level. Sam’s extensive market knowledge and expertise in strategic planning, financial analyses, disposition of liabilities and proposal/lease negotiations ensure that his clients receive the most comprehensive representation before, during and after a transaction is complete. 

With over 11 years of tenant advocacy experience, Sam was most recently a Senior Vice President at West, Lane and Schlager Realty Advisors, where he was the top producer in 2020 and a DCA Live “Rising Star of Commercial Real Estate.” Prior to that, Sam was an Associate Vice President at the Ezra Company.

Sam graduated from Union College, in Schenectady, New York, with a B.A. in political science and was a member of the lacrosse and tennis teams. Sam currently resides in DC with his wife and two daughters.
