Robert Marona joined Avison Young in 2024 as Senior Vice President of Leasing. In this role, he is responsible for leasing and merchandising over 600,000 square feet of retail projects, as well as new business initiatives, leveraging his extensive experience in the retail industry.

Prior to his role at Avison Young, Robert was Senior Vice President of Leasing at Madison Marquette, a position he held since 2016, with similar responsibilities. He also served as Director of Leasing for the Grand Bazaar Shops in Las Vegas, where he introduced unique retail concepts to the site's distinctive setting. Robert's experience spans senior positions with Saks Fifth Avenue, Bonwit Teller, and Harve Benard as well.  

Additionally, Robert served as Executive Vice President of the Meadowlands Xanadu project, leading efforts to incorporate unique entertainment, food, and beverage uses, alongside traditional retailers. As Senior Vice President of the Mills Corporation, he oversaw all East Coast traditional Mills projects, off-price concepts, redevelopments, and mall property acquisitions. 

Robert transitioned from the retail industry to the real estate sector as Vice President of Leasing for McArthur/Glen, the premier developer of upscale manufacturer’s outlet shopping centers, where he managed redevelopment, expansion, and new development projects.

Robert holds a BS in Business Administration from Wagner College and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
