Janet is a Senior Planner at Avison Young, based in the Bristol office. Janet has experience of working in both the public and private sectors, is an Associate Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (‘RTPI’) and currently working towards becoming a fully chartered planner. Within Avison Young, Janet plays a key role in supporting clients across a range of development projects in the education, healthcare, leisure, retail, commercial and residential sectors, combining technical expertise with a practical, solution-led approach. Her current key projects include a major hybrid planning application for residential development and a community sports hub, and multiple major planning applications for new Aldi foodstores around the country.

Janet works closely with public sector bodies, charities and developers in and around the south-west of England, providing advice regarding the prospects of proposed development schemes and appropriate strategies which will enable clients to realise them. With a strong understanding and extensive experience of working within local and national planning systems, and a commitment to delivering excellent service, she helps clients make informed decisions and helps them to navigate through planning processes, supporting development growth.
