International commercial real estate firm Avison Young (AY) announced a strategic affiliation agreement with Athens-based QRA Real Estate Advisors. Further expansion in Southeast Europe supports the company’s growth strategy and demonstrates AY’s commitment to capitalize on opportunities in the region.
Greece's real estate market is undergoing a rapid transformation, driven by a growing demand for people-centric and energy-efficient buildings. This dynamic shift reflects the country's strong economic recovery, making it a resurgent destination for investors. Fueled by a booming tourist sector and its emergence as a major business and energy hub in Southeast Europe, Greece offers an attractive proposition for both residential and commercial investment.
This new collaboration led by Alexis Kotsioris and Eri Mitsostergiou, both as Principals, combines Avison Young's global reach with local insights promising to bring a fresh and unique profile to the Greek market.
Eri has more than 25 years of extensive experience as an international property analyst, specializing in European and Global research and consultancy. Formerly the World Research Director at Savills, her expertise lies in providing strategic guidance to clients in their real estate investment decisions.
Alexis has more than 25 years of experience in commercial real estate advisory and transaction services in Greece. He has successfully advised on investment transactions totaling over €1.2 billion in retail, office, and logistics assets within the country. Previously, he worked at Savills Hellas for 18 years and has been running his own advisory firm for the past five years, specializing in commercial real estate brokerage.
Alexis Kotsioris, Principal and Managing Director of AY Greece, said:
“We strive to act as a catalyst for a more professional, transparent, and sustainable real estate market. This will be achieved by empowering clients, supporting environmentally and socially responsible developers, and promoting a built environment that has a positive impact on people’s lives.”
Mark Rose, Chairman & CEO of Avison Young, added:
"This collaboration reinforces Avison Young's commitment to providing world-class real estate services. Joining forces with this talented team in Greece strengthens AY's global presence and enhances our ability to deliver exceptional results for our clients. We look forward to developing our positive impact in Southeast Europe and contributing to the success of our clients and the communities we serve."
“We are not slowing down when it comes to Avison Young’s expansion in Europe,” said Michal Cwiklinski, Regional Managing Director, EMEA. “Our focus is on capturing individual talents from the market, but also whole teams or leading companies.”
