Philadelphia, PA – Avison Young has sold the Camp Trexler property in Kunkletown, PA to Trexler Veterans Initiative (TVI) for $7.8M. TVI plans to lease the 772-acre property to Valor Clinic Foundation, a nonprofit committed to improving access to healthcare and shelter for veterans.

The seller, The Minsi Trails Council, was represented by David Smith, Vice President, Pat Kelley, Principal, and Paul French, Principal, from Avison Young’s Philadelphia office.

“It is a challenge to complete a great real estate transaction, but this was about as good as they get – strong sale price that will go towards valuable efforts by the end-user with a passion for conservation and helping others,” said Smith. “We’re grateful to see how the future tenant will be assisting our veterans in their transitions to civilian life, and a community who is supportive of the outcome.”

The property is comprised of amenities and natural features, including a swimming pool, shooting range, 18-hole miniature golf course, health lodge, trading post, dining hall, parade field, shower houses, and an activities field as well as a waterfront for boating and fishing at Lake Trexler as well as a myriad of hiking trails.
