Avison Young extends reach on Long Island with seasoned industrial and office leasing team

Mellville, NY – Avison Young today announced the strategic hiring of Leo Farrell as Principal for the Long Island region. Also joining Farrell are Edward Pidgeon as Senior Director and Paul Farrell as Associate. The team specializes in office and industrial leasing, land sales and acquisitions and build-to-suits throughout the Suffolk county and Long Island region.

Avison Young is powered by people and the addition of this successful, multi-sector tenant representation team, formerly with NAI Long Island, will help clients strategically solve their commercial real estate needs to acheive business goals. They will be responsible for growing the occupier solutions business and will also continue to deliver value to institutional landlords in the leasing, disposition and marketing of office and industrial buildings.

Farrell is a top-producing commercial real estate veteran with more than 30 years experience representing tenants and landlords on Long Island and nationally, including McDonald’s, Walmart, Northwell Health, Quality King Distributors and Marriott Hotels. He is also responsible for brokering the construction of more than 25 buildings totalling over one million square feet.
Pidgeon is one of Long Island’s leading brokers providing tenant representation, seller representation, investment sales, and property management. His focus is on industrial and office real estate transactions and has successfully completed more than $200 million in transactions in the last 15 years.
