Chicago, IL– Avison Young announced today that it has negotiated a 115,937 square-foot office lease at Atrium, 3800 Golf Road in Rolling Meadows, IL with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on behalf of the building owner, Spear Street Capital. The space is within Atrium, 3800 Golf Road, a 3-story, 483,000-sf office building. 

Avison Young Principal Fred Ishler and Associate Allie Cooney, based in the firm’s Chicago office, and Ed Gregorowicz of Avison Young’s Government Consulting Services practice represented the Landlord, Spear Street Capital. The Tenant was represented by Hugh Murphy, Delario Bolton, Kasey Hughes, and Clarissa Mahoney-Pascascio of JLL.

After more than 25 years at its Des Plaines, IL location, the FAA will be relocating its regional headquarters from the O’Hare market to Atrium, 3800 Golf Road, Rolling Meadows. The FAA conducted an extensive market search in both the O’Hare and Northwest suburban office markets for this large office requirement and Atrium, 3800 Golf Road, successfully competed with multiple buildings to win this transaction. 

“This is one of the largest deals in the Northwest Suburban market within the last several years,” Ishler said. “The Tenant found that the building’s ability to accommodate the FAA’s large office space requirement on a single floor was advantageous for the FAA’s space utilization.  Additionally, the building features extensive amenities and is in close proximity to the Woodfield Mall area’s major retail and dining offerings making it a preferred location for the FAA’s employee base.”
