Manufacturing enhances upward tick in city's resurgence

Detroit, MI– Avison Young today announced that it has negotiated an acquisition of Kautex Detroit on behalf of 49^th Clark LLC, for the 147,000-square feet (sf) industrial/manufacturing facility at 2627 Clark Avenue in Detroit, Michigan.

49^th Clark LLC, the buyer, was represented by Avison Young’s Sloane Walsh, a sales and leasing specialist, based in the firm’s Detroit office. 49^th Clark LLC is an entity tied to the developer Lost Tree Village Family Corporation. The acquisition is part of Lost Tree’s long-term investment strategy focused on stable, mission critical industrial and manufacturing assets across the country.  

“This building produces specialized parts that are integral to the automotive industry, and this facility’s proximity to the major auto manufacturers makes it irreplaceable,” said Sloane. 

Kautex Detroit, a plastic gas tank manufacturer for the automotive industry, has been in this location since 1998. The building sits in the Corktown area near Detroit’s big three automotive companies. With features of high-tech robotic manufacturing equipment, state of the art warehousing and delivery systems, this facility has added to the automotive industry’s growth.
