The Simpson Company joins Avison Young in Atlanta

Atlanta, GA – Avison Young is bringing 16 real estate professionals from The Simpson Company of Georgia, Inc., on board to meet client needs across office, industrial, retail, multifamily, agency leasing, and more in its Atlanta offices. The Simpson Company founder and president, Frank N. Simpson, CCIM SOIR, joins Avison Young as a Principal and Managing Director in Northeast Georgia. In addition to Atlanta and North Georgia, the team will help deliver client service across the southeast, where Avison Young has strong presence across asset classes and sectors, spanning Florida through the Carolinas.

“I’ve known Frank for years; he’s one of the most respected brokers in Northeast Georgia commercial real estate and has an impeccable reputation in our industry. Our team has worked together on various business opportunities with an established history of professionalism and comradery that make the team a great addition to Avison Young,” said Steve Dils, Principal and Managing Director of Avison Young’s office in Atlanta. “The industrial sector is part of our roots and the team’s expertise in the space helps us build an even stronger service delivery for our clients in a geography that has a wealth of major air, rail and truck transit routes that make it attractive for business.”

With broad experience across sectors, the team specializes in industrial leasing and sales. Atlanta is among the country’s top five largest industrial markets, with nearly $1.4 billion in industrial deals closed in Atlanta in 2020 alone. Warehousing, online retail sales, transportation, manufacturing, and construction are continuing to drive demand for industrial space. The collective intelligence of the firm’s top industrial talent across the region – in and around the I-85 corridor, including markets like Savannah, Charleston, Greenville-Spartanburg, Charlotte and Raleigh-Durham – will help secure the right opportunities to meet client needs.

“Avison Young was the ideal cultural fit for our team, many of whom I hired directly out of various Universities around the region and who continue on with us today,” said Simpson. “We’re looking forward to extending our reach by being part of a bigger platform backed by data and technology that delivers the real-time intel our clients need to find the right solutions for them.”

In addition to broader market coverage, the team represents seven CCIM designees as well as three SIOR designees. Simpson previously served as the 2011 International President of the CCIM Institute.

“With its partnership model and focus on collaboration, PropTech and data-driven decision making, I’m excited to be part of Avison Young,” said Jason Holland, CCIM. “The firm’s analytics platform and reach will help us continue to deliver value-added opportunities and solutions for clients.”
