We grieve the loss of 215 Indigenous children whose lives were taken at the former Kamloops Indian Residential School on the Tk’emlúps te Secwe̓pemc First Nation territory. Truths need to be spoken, seen and understood. While this doesn’t resolve all the suffering for the children who never made it home, the children who survived, their families or their communities, it is a critical step in addressing Canada’s history and the need for reconciliation.
