Avison Young welcomes Los Angeles-based Blake Olson to its 2021 Principal Class

Los Angeles, CA – Chris Cooper, Avison Young Principal and Managing Director of the firm’s Southern California region, today announced that Blake Olson has been named Avison Young Principal based in the firm’s Downtown Los Angeles office.
Avison Young is led by more than 600 Principals across the globe, and each year welcomes a new class of owners in the firm. As a private company, Avison Young Principals have a say in the future direction of the business and are invested in clients’ success, thinking for the long-term.
Olson has been with the company for five years and specializes in sales, leasing, and tenant representation.

Olson made a career change five years ago, moving from sales with Gallo Wine to Avison Young. He was able to effectively translate his acute marketing, sales, and service skills he developed at Gallo to a successful career with Avison Young. Olson has made a name for himself in the Los Angeles market and demonstrates outstanding leadership qualities as a mentor to the firm’s Emerging Leaders, as well as serving as a Regional Ambassador.
“Becoming a Principal has been a goal of mine since I started my CRE career at Avison Young. I was drawn toward the Principal-led model at Avison Young: we are very hands-on, and we answer to clients, not shareholders. This provides my clients with the highest level of resources, service lines, and proven expertise possible,” said Olson. “My client’s objectives have always come first, and this Principal role will only help further that mission.
