Siobhan Murphy has been with the company for 12 years and is a Director in the Rating Department, with joint responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the department. She is actively involved in making appeals to both the Valuation Office and Valuation Tribunal on behalf of a broad client base, both semi-state and private, and assisting with cases which proceed to the higher courts. Siobhan is heavily involved in the management of ongoing revaluations and is particularly familiar with the valuation of specialised properties for rating purposes including renewable energy assets, hotels, tolls, stadia, airports etc. She also advises on legislative changes affecting the rating system and is knowledgeable on relevant case law. As well as being a member of the Society of Chartered Surveyors (SCSI) and the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) she is also an honorary member of the Institute of Revenues, Rating and Valuation (IRRV).
