Sara currently leads the South Region’s Insight team for Avison Young. Supporting the firm’s professionals, Ms. Barnes gathers and helps interpret data used in the quantitative and qualitative analysis of commercial real estate trends while fulfilling on-demand requests for clients' specific research needs. This includes continuously developing and implementing industry-leading research that delivers deep market analysis and insights that drive value in real estate decisions to support successful client strategies. She contributes to Avison Young’s quarterly market research reports as well as additional local and national reports.

Ms. Barnes first joined Avison Young in 2017 and has thirteen years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. Her previous professional experience includes working as a Research Analyst with Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, and the Associate Market Director of Research at Cushman & Wakefield.
