Peter joined Avison Young in 2021 as the head of Insight for the Central Region, as part of the Avison Young Insight & Innovation team.
Prior to joining AY, Peter spent 7 years leading JLL’s National Industrial Capital Markets Research platform, helping the business line grow from $5.9B in transactional activity in 2014 to $10.9B by the end of 2020. Focusing on building a proprietary data system for capital markets activity, he helped streamline information and analytics resources for the Capital Markets teams and provided best-in-class advisory and insight on the Investment Environment surrounding the Industrial Sector. Prior to JLL, he attended graduate school at the University of Southern California, concentrating on Urban Planning with a focus on Economic Development and Real Estate Development. During his studies, his passion for Industrial/Manufacturing zoning policy and the importance of Urban Infill distribution was fostered as he worked for the non-profit trade organization Southwest Brooklyn Industrial Development Corporation (SBIDC) in the Redhook, Gowanus, and Sunset Park areas of Brooklyn. Starting his career after gaining a dual-degree from Purdue University in Agricultural Economics and Organizational Communication, Peter worked for a small food manufacturing company in the Back of the Yards district in Chicago, putting his knowledge of commodity markets, logistics, and supply-chain management to good practice.
