Michael T. Fay is an owner advocate who realizes the full value of an asset through creative, strategic positioning, in-depth market knowledge and identifying potential development opportunities. With a vast network of relationships, Michael has been involved in over $17 billion in transactions over his 40+ year career, and has overseen some of the prominent transactions across multiple product types. Michael specializes in capital markets, REO and note sales, as well as strategy and implementation for large, international corporate real estate accounts. He is also the Global Director for the Asset Resolution Team Affinity Group.

Over the last 30+ years, he has assisted hundreds of institutional and private investors, REITs, hedge funds, national and local banks, insurance companies, major automotive dealerships, commercial debt restructuring firms, as well as financial institutions, lenders and special servicers with their REO & note sales, including the FDIC in the sale and management of its assets. Michael has extensive banking knowledge being a past founder and director of a local community bank and has sold hundreds of bank assets and notes dating back to the Resolution Trust (RTC) days. He was also a co-contractor in the disposition of over 600 U.S. Marshals Service’s Southern District of Florida drug seizure assets and has extensive CRE sales experience within the federal and civil courts, including the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts, having been a court-appointed receiver, plan trustee, or court-appointed sales broker over the course of his career.

Michael is a Knight with the Sovereign Order of St. John of Jerusalem Knights of Malta, as well as a member of the prestigious Florida Council of 100. He currently serves on the Baptist Health Foundation Advisory Board, the Ocean Reef Club Medical Center Board, the La Grange College Board of Trustees, the St. Thomas University Board of Trustees, and the McGlannan School Foundation Board of Directors for children living with dyslexia. He previously served on the Baptist Health Foundation BOD, the Miami-Dade Community Advisory Board for AvMed Health Plans, the Ocean Reef Club Real Estate Advisory Committee, the Ocean Reef Community Association BOD, and the HistoryMiami Museum Board of Trustees. Michael is also the youngest member elected to the Orange Bowl Committee where he continues to serve proudly.

Besides his real estate career, Michael is an avid surfer and former nationally and world-ranked wakeboard champion. He is a founding partner of the Miami Watersports Complex with Aktion Parks.

Michael is a graduate of LaGrange College and was recently recognized with the Outstanding Alumni Award. He is also a member of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity.
