Matthew has over 20 years’ experience in the property industry and is a specialist in the petrol filling station, motorway service area and motor dealership sector. Before joining Avison Young in 2017 he spent time with Boots the Chemists, Somerfield Supermarkets and Lloyds bank before spending 10 years valuing trading businesses.

Matthew joined Avison Young (previously GVA) in 2017 and heads up our activities in the Automotive and Roadside sector. His work includes valuation, consultancy and agency instructions across the UK with clients ranging from high street banks and other lending institutions, accountants, single and multi-site operators and solicitors. Matthew undertakes a variety of instructions including loan security and audit valuations, lease consultancy work (rent reviews/lease renewals) and Expert reports.

Matthew is a regular contributor and commentator in the trade the press and recently completed the RICS Diploma in Arbitration.
