Over the past four decades, Keith O’Donnell has established himself as one of the top commercial real estate specialists in the Southeastern United States. Keith joined Avison Young as a Principal in 2012, along with 27 former Codina/Flagler Real Estate Services executives and employees. Since then, Avison Young has grown to nine offices in Florida with over 200 members in the state and 5,000 members across its 120 offices worldwide.
Prior to Avison Young, Keith served as an Executive Development and Marketing Officer for a prominent real estate company in Florida and was Senior Managing Director of Codina/Flagler Real Estate Services for 20 years. There, he managed a team of commercial asset specialists whose mission was to design and execute value enhancing real estate activities for local, national, and international clients.
Keith has been responsible for over $6 billion in transactions, including the following notable regional transactions:
- 635,000-square-foot (sf) build-to-suit for Office Depot’s Global Headquarters in Boca Raton and subsequent sale on behalf of Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association of America-College Retirement Equities Fund (TIAA-CREF)
- Repositioning and sale of Mizner Park, an 825,000-sf mixed-use complex on behalf of TIAA-CREF
- Repositioning and sale of the 43-acre former Office Depot Campus in Delray Beach for a mixed-use development on behalf of Aegon for $33 million
- Transaction and advisory services for the Research Park at FAU and over 3.5 million sf of business park transactions for IBM and Siemens throughout the Southeastern United States
- Lynn University’s 110-acre masterplan, including the development of the 212,000-sf, LEED-Gold-Certified Lynn Financial Center, and acquisition services for the Lynn Cancer Institute
Other significant recent assignments include:
- Transaction services for Joint Ventures or sale of a ±10-acre, transit-oriented, mixed-use development site in West Palm Beach totaling over one million sf of development rights
- Rezoning and redevelopment leadership of over 1,000 acres in northwest Boca Raton, resulting in $500 million in development value and the construction of 2,500 apartments and 70,000-sf of retail space
- Advisory and transaction services regarding the Palm Beach Kennel Club for the Rooney family
- 100,000-sf, long-term lease for Cleveland Clinic – Lerner Research Institute and FIU at Traditions on behalf of the City of Port St. Lucie
- Advisory and transaction services for Town Square Boynton Beach on behalf of the City of Boynton Beach and E2L, the P3 Master developer
