John Moysey joined Avison Young – Chicago, LLC in January 2014 as a Principal.  Formerly he was a founding member and Principal of V3 Realty Company, LLC and President of V3 Realty Brokerage, Ltd for the preceding 16 years.  He has over 42 years of experience in commercial real estate encompassing office and industrial leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, site acquisition and sales, development and management, and operations with profit and loss responsibility.  This experience has been performed both as a principal for a large real estate development and investment organizations as well as an agent for institutions and corporate clients.

Prior to joining V3 Realty Company in 1998, Mr. Moysey served as Executive Vice President and Chicago Regional Manager for Grubb & Ellis, a national real estate brokerage, management and consulting firm. Prior to Grubb & Ellis, Mr. Moysey was an Executive Vice President and Board Member for eleven years at AMLI Realty Company. There, he was involved in the creation and growth of its Commercial Properties Division, where AMLI developed several million square feet of office and industrial properties and five business parks, and acquired and controlled over 4,300 acres of land.  Prior to AMLI, Mr.Moysey spent 10 years at Chicago-based Draper & Kramer, Inc.  During that time, he represented both tenants and landlords, and was responsible for opening and managing its full service suburban commercial real estate office.  During his career, Mr. Moysey has been involved in over 4,000,000 square feet of office and industrial development and sale assignments.  He has personally negotiated leasing agreements totaling over 3,000,000 square feet and handled the acquisition or sale of over 5,000 acres of land.

Mr. Moysey received his Bachelor of Arts from Drake University and is a Real Estate Managing Broker in Illinois.
