Joel Miller brings nearly two (2) decades of broad experience in public service, government relations, project coordination and marketing to his role as a Corporate Services expert within the Industrial Practice Group with Avison Young - Indiana. Prior to joining Avison Young, he spent nearly eight (8) years as a project coordinator for one of Indiana’s largest civil engineering firms which enabled him to work throughout the State of Indiana and expand his business network for specialized projects. Known for the strength of his statewide network, aggressive marketing style and successful project execution, Joel has earned a reputation for efficiency, honesty and effectiveness.
Joel’s unique experience in public service at the local, state and federal levels provides clients with a broad network of knowledge and support to navigate complex government rules and regulations. He spent four (4) years leading the Marion County Democratic Party as Chairman, where he worked alongside civic and elected leaders and grassroots organizers. He also was a board member of the Marion County Board of Voter Registration and served as the President of the Marion County Alcoholic Beverage Board.
As a Corporate Services group member, he has completed numerous building sales, land acquisitions, tenant representation for office and industrial companies. Joel has been very successful in the area of new business development initiatives. He has orchestrated several marketing initiative for large industrial pursuits as well as land development. - EZMailing building acquisition – 21,500 sf
- Bank of the West – sale of 38,000 sf religious facility
- Boulware Investments – Purchase of 24,000 sf office building
- Fort Benjamin Harrison Reuse Authority – Sale of 19,000 sf office building
- Dial America – Tenant Representation lease extension of 18,500 sf
- HOPE Academy – Tenant Representation for lease of 10,600 sf school
