Iain has 40 years of experience as a surveyor and 30 years working within the specialist healthcare property sector.

Iain is Managing Director, Health, for Avison Young, a post he took up in July 2013.

He is an experienced consultant and agent in all interests in healthcare property sales, including land, vacant property, turnkey developments, going concerns and investments and development. Additionally, he has experience negotiating joint venture agreements, land options, overage, operator searches and lease and management contract structuring. He has 40 years of valuation experience and undertakes rent review and expert work in the sector. Iain is an RICS Registered Valuer.

Within the healthcare sector, he has a particular interest in the assisted living/extra care markets - a growing sector in its infancy in the UK. He is a leading advisor in this area.

Iain leads a team of experienced surveyors and agents in the Health sector acting for major corporate, private and public sector clients nationwide. The team covers the elderly, specialists, primary care and private hospital markets, in addition to the substantial work undertaken with the public sector.
