Frank Simpson, CCIM SIOR joined Avison Young as Principal and Managing Director in Northeast Georgia following the acquisition of The Simpson Company in 2021. Simpson has experience in all real estate product types and geographic areas within the North Georgia region. He has represented both buyers and sellers in transactions involving industrial buildings, retail buildings, office buildings, churches, and commercial sites/acreage for all types.
Simpson combines extensive local market knowledge, national relationships and state of the art investments analysis to advise clients on whether to sell, hold, buy or lease a specific type of real estate in any geographical area. Simpson has transacted real estate business in all surrounding states.
Simpson is a life member and recipient of the “Phoenix” Award, qualifying for membership for ten years in the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors as well as the Hall County Board of Realtors. He has been named to the top commercial realtors in the local Board of Realtors.
Simpson serves as a Past President (2011) of the 15,000+ member CCIM Institute based in Chicago, Illinois. He was elected as President of the CCIM Institute at the 2008 business meetings. He has served as Chairman of the Member Services Committee, member of the Strategic Planning Committee, member of the Budget Committee, Presidential Liaison, as well as has served on numerous committees within the Institute. He is a graduate of the J.W. Levine Leadership Academy of the CCIM Institute. Simpson served as 2004 President of the 300+ member Georgia CCIM Chapter.
Simpson currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Hall County YMCA, the Past President of the CCIM Institute, 2017 President of the Georgia Chapter of SIOR, and member of the 2021 Economic Development Council of the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce. Simpson served as the 2007-2009 Chairman of the Lakeview Academy Board of Trustees, member of the 2003 class of Leadership Georgia, member of the 2011-2016 Wesleyan School Board of Trustees, as well as served on the Brenau University Board of Advisors and the National Bank of Georgia Board of Directors (Athens, GA). He is a member of Lakewood Baptist Church in Gainesville, Georgia. Simpson is married to Wendi Taylor Simpson with two children Mike and Sam.
Prior to joining Avison Young, Simpson founded The Simpson Company in 1993 in Gainesville, Georgia where he led a team of 16 professionals focused on office, industrial, retail, apartments and land including industrial development, site selection, and Office investments.
