Evan Sassaman is a driven, results-oriented Senior Vice President with Avison Young in Raleigh, North Carolina. He advises industrial and life science clients in their acquisition, disposition, leasing needs, and site selection and land development as it pertains to industrial property. Evan’s client base consists primarily of private equity backed companies, private equity firms, ultra-high net worth investors, and national occupiers of industrial real estate. Of note, several of his recent transactions pertained to the sale of a 103,000 sf cGMP manufacturing facility (Wilmington) and a 28-acre tract for speculative cGMP development (Morrisville). His acumen, passion for real estate, and attention to detail have won him more than 1M square feet of industrial assignments in North Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. Evan thrives in-person and on-site with clients and brokers alike. He is known for being competitive but fair in his work.

Evan is currently pursuing his Master’s in Real Estate Development (MRED) at Auburn University. His studies include commercial real estate finance, architecture, planning, construction, law, and market analysis. As part of the program, he travels globally and meets with other leaders in the construction, development, and brokerage industries, broadening his industry perspective and forging relationships that enhance his professional impact. Evan is also a proud Elon University graduate where he studied Strategic Communications and Professional Sales.

Evan is frequently cited for his tenacity, interpersonal skills, and thoughtfulness both personally and professionally. His favorite place in North Carolina is the Outer Banks, specifically Duck and Corolla. He has two dogs, Olivia and Grace. Evan has lived in New York City, London, and currently resides in Raleigh. His formative years were spent in Bedford and Hershey, Pennsylvania.
