Recently, Avison Young MENA employees took part in a beach cleanup within Abu Dhabi, showcasing our strong commitment to environmental sustainability and community service. Talal Khreis, our Head of Business Development & Asset Services - Senior Director shared, "Beach cleanups are about more than just picking up trash. They offer a valuable opportunity for us to collaborate as a team, deepen our understanding of marine life, and contribute to the well-being of our community. By supporting our local environment, we help keep our shorelines clean and protect sea animals from ingesting harmful plastic waste."

Our team collected waste, removed debris, and worked together to restore the natural beauty of the shoreline. This initiative is just one of our ongoing efforts to support environmental conservation and create a cleaner, healthier future.

Simon Townsend, our CEO, reflected on the experience: "We often take for granted the beauty of the UAE's landscape. It was eye-opening to witness the sheer amount and variety of rubbish the team cleaned up in such a short time. I strongly believe this reinforced the entire team’s commitment to the environment. I’m confident that this will become a regular occurrence. It was also a great way to bring our team and their families together before the summer, reinforcing our social values while having fun."
