Memphis, TN – Shane Soefker, Principal of Avison Young’s Memphis office, has received the AY 2020 Circle of Excellence – Affiliate Offices Award, which recognizes the top producing individual from the firm’s affiliate offices.

A native Memphian, Soefker founded Avison Young’s Memphis office in December 2015 with partner Jacob Biddle. Under his leadership, the firm has experienced tremendous success, growing from two employees to more than thirty today. His experience in the commercial real estate industry goes back more than twenty years and includes roles at Flagler Development Company, Banyan Street Partners, and Flashpoint Capital Partners as well as a position as Senior Managing Director of Cushman & Wakefield’s South Florida offices. Prior to establishing the Avison Young office, Soefker was Executive Vice President, Principal, and leader of the Capital Markets Group for local Cushman & Wakefield affiliate Commercial Advisors.

Soefker is widely regarded as one of the most knowledgeable and experienced brokers in the market, with expertise in organizational management, business development, acquisitions, and asset management and development in addition to an extensive background in hard asset and debt acquisitions, development and capital formation.
