Strategic real estate advisor Avison Young has announced that prominent London office experts James Walker, Dominic Amey and Stuart Commins will join Avison Young’s Central London markets team as Principals in the summer.
The new Principals will join the existing London markets teams, and focus heavily on driving growth of brand, revenue and personnel across the City of London, Midtown and the West End, as part of Avison Young’s very ambitious strategy for this important global market.
The new recruits will be joining from Colliers. James Walker was previously Head of City Agency & Occupier Advisory at Colliers, which he joined in 2017, and prior to this worked at CBRE and Deloitte. Dominic Amey has been at Colliers since 2003, and during his long service has acted both as Head of Colliers West End Capital Markets team, and since 2017 was Departmental Head of the City of London Capital Markets team. Stuart Commins was previously Head of Occupier Advisory, City of London at Colliers, having started his career at CBRE in 2011.
Since forming and building the Colliers City transactional team in 2017 the trio have demonstrated an impressive track record of acting on behalf of some of London’s most highly regarded commercial real estate investors and occupiers.
Jason Sibthorpe, Principal and UK President, Avison Young, commented:
"Despite everything the pandemic and Brexit has thrown at our capital, London continues to hold an undeniable attraction for investors and occupiers alike. Strengthening our Central London transactional team during this crucial phase of recovery and restructuring, will allow us to further realise the potential of this world-class office market for our clients.
"Moving out of a difficult business climate, we have our sights firmly set on growth, and we’re actively looking for opportunities to bring in top talent in target areas including London markets, investment management, asset management and real estate finance. I am very pleased to welcome James, Dominic and Stuart to our Avison Young family; their knowledge and expertise will be an invaluable addition to our clients."
