Christopher Cooper is a 38-year industry veteran who served as Chief Executive Officer of the Charles Dunn Company, Senior Managing Director for Cushman & Wakefield, and Executive Vice President at Jones Lang LaSalle prior to joining Avison Young. He possesses a wide range of experience in corporate services, leasing, construction, acquisition, sales, development and finance, and has an impressive track record of closed real estate transactions valued in excess of $4.0 billion. Christopher has led major projects, including build to suit transactions, master plans, and incentive negotiations for Oracle, Microsoft Corporation, Xerox Corporation, Skadden Arps, Dreamworks SKG, Latham & Watkins, Prudential Insurance Company, Mellon Bank, Pillsbury Winthrop, and Clear Channel Communications. Christopher was also responsible for management of selected national and global strategic alliance clients, including Oracle, Microsoft Corporation and Xerox Corporation. Christopher, who has a law degree, began his professional career as a real estate lawyer representing both public and private sector clients for 11 years. He has acted as lead real estate counsel on numerous large transactions, including the development, leasing, acquisition, and financing of office, industrial, hospital and other health care facilities.

As Principal – Regional Managing Director of the Western US Region of Avison Young, Christopher is charged with the overall operations, growth and client care for the Region, as well as the recruitment of senior brokers and other professionals. He maintains an active role in transaction services and continues his focus on corporate occupier services.

Mr. Cooper holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from the University of California at Berkeley, and a Juris Doctorate from Loyola Marymount University.

Mr. Cooper is a licensed California real estate broker and is an inactive member of the State Bar of California.  He has served on the following Boards and Executive Committees: Downtown Los Angeles Central City Association Executive Committee, LAEDC Executive Committee, BOMA Greater Los Angeles Advisory Board, Los Angeles Mayor’s Economy and Jobs Committee, Core Network Board and Executive Committee.
